FILMS - HIGH END NATURAL HISTORY PRODUCTION |
Born of
a dynamic fusion of talents, Botswana based AfriScreen Films
is a high-end natural history production and facilitation company
specialising in African wildlife. The AfriScreen Films team
brings together many years of broad international film production
experience. Our specialised wildlife knowledge provides a fresh,
streamlined approach to producing wildlife films.
|
Traditionally,
natural history filmmakers are wildlife enthusiasts, and filmmaking
becomes an extension of their interest in the natural world.
Our background, by contrast, is based in feature film, television
drama series and corporate production - experience that we combine
with our wildlife passion and filmmaking expertise, and our
long-term practical experience of working in remote regions.
It is this combination of talents that gives AfriScreen a dynamic
edge in the wildlife film production sphere.
|
Mike Holding,
a Kenyan-born, qualified zoologist with 25 years experience
across the board as director, cinematographer, scriptwriter
and editor, teamed up with respected feature film, documentary
and TV drama producer Tania Jenkins to form AfriScreen Films
in 1996. Tania - or "TJ" as she is better known -
has had 20 years of production experience which has seen her
line produce feature films and act as executive producer for
several acclaimed wildlife films.
|
AfriScreen
Films focuses our production, budgeting, scheduling, organisational
and varied creative skills on wildlife documentary and docu-drama
film, with the objective of producing our own unique style of
African natural history films.
|
While
the team has considerable combined experience in both film and
wildlife operations, we continue to partner with a broad spectrum
of wildlife researchers, scientists, vets, safari operators,
film technicians, and post-production houses on every production.
This way we can deliver up-to-date expertise unique to the specific
demands of each and every project we undertake.

| Mike Holding
and Tania Jenkins are full members of the IWAF - International
Association of Wildlife Filmmakers. Mike is also an elected
member of the South African Society of Cinematographers. |
