PASEKA - THE EASTER ELEPHANT WINS A MERIT AWARD FOR CONSERVATION MESSAGE
Afriscreen Films is proud to announce that it’s most recent film “Paseka- The Easter Elephant”, which was commissioned by NHU Africa, was selected as an official finalist in the Human/Wildlife Interaction category of the 35th International Wildlife Film Festival (IWFF). Final judging took place in Montana in May. Paseka- The Easter Elephant was given a Merit Award for Conservation Message. Paseka is a touching story of one young elephant with an unbreakable will to live. On Easter morning she was found mysteriously abandoned by her herd in the Okavango Delta, but according to wildlife interaction ethics the rangers had no choice to leave her out in the wilderness. What comes next is a bizarre chain of events where she finds herself amongst a very unusual herd of captive elephants. Congratulations to our fellow filmmakers who won awards at IWFF!
